
Coastcat is based in Wells which qualifies as England's smallest and Somerset's only city because of its magnificent Cathedral.
Wells lies beneath the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills, and provides a wealth of historical interest and beautiful architecture, while remaining a thriving business and residential community.
Among its many features are the Bishop's Palace & moat, still the residence of the Bishops of Bath and Wells; Vicars' Close, claimed to be the most complete medieval street in Europe; Wells Museum, and the historic Market Place.
Wells is also becoming well known as the setting for TV & film such as Blake's 7, Hot Fuzz, The Golden Age, The Libertine and most recently Doctor Who.

Wells Cathedral - One of the most impressive of English Cathedrals and dominates the city. It has survived eight centuries with all buildings intact from the Chapter House to the unique Vicar's Close.
Bishops Palace & Gardens - More than simply an historic house and garden, this splendid medieval Palace has been the home of the Bishops of Bath and Wells for 800 years. There are 14 acres of gardens including the springs from which the city takes its name. Visitors can also see the Bishop's private Chapel, ruined Great Hall and the Gatehouse with portcullis and drawbridge beside which the famous mute swans ring a bell for food.
Wookey Hole Caves - The famous caves completely revamped, lots to do whatecer the weather including a victorian arcade, Dinosaur Valley, Fairy Garden, Pirates, Witches and more.
